Exciting activities to pay tribute to Uncle Ho and celebrate Youth Union’s 93rd founding anniversary

To practically celebrate the 93rd founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024), on March 24, provincial Agencies and Enterprises Bloc’s Youth Union organized the 2024 program on "Reunion Day - Launching Tree-planting Festival in eternal gratitude of Uncle Ho”  at My Phuoc Industrial Park in Ben Cat town and Phu Giao district’s Vinh Hoa commune.

In Ben Cat town, the program took place with many exciting and meaningful activities, including planting 500 new trees at My Phuoc Industrial Park; giving 20 gifts for disadvantaged young workers; making  dissemination of information about the Youth Union activities among young workers...In Phu Giao district, the program awarded 20 gifts worth VND 300,000 each to people with difficult circumstances in Vinh Hoa commune; starting construction of "charity houses" for young workers with difficult circumstances in Vinh Hoa commune.

Ben Cat town also held a ceremony to launch the Olympic Running Day for All People's Health 2024 and the 1st Open town Cross Country Tournament. This year's launching ceremony took place on the occasion of the National Assembly Standing Committee just passing a resolution on the establishment of An Dien ward, An Tay ward in Ben Cat town and the establishment of Ben Cat city in Binh Duong province. This was also an activity to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2024) and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Ben Cat town (April 1, 2014- April 1, 2024).

*On the same morning, the People's Committee of Tan Uyen city held a ceremony to launch the campaign of "All people exercising their bodies following the example of great Uncle Ho" in the period of 2021-2030 and Olympic Running Day for All People’s Health at the city’s square.

After the launching ceremony, leaders of departments, sectors and localities along with more than 1,000 athletes participated in running in response to the campaign and Olympic Running Day for All People's Health in 2024 with the distance of 1km. Next, these athletes participated in the cross country tournament in individual and team competition categories, with distances of 4km, 3km, 4km, 5km for girls, boys, young women, young men, respectively. For the group category of 50 people, distances were 2km for the primary school bloc and 3km for secondary, high school bloc, communes and wards.

In addition to responding to the movement of all people exercising their bodies following the example of the great Uncle Ho, these activities also aimed at celebrating the 93rd founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024), the 78^th anniversary of Vietnam's Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2024), the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Tan Uyen town - now Tan Uyen city (April 1, 2014 - April 1, 2024), the 1^st anniversary of the establishment of Tan Uyen city under Binh Duong province (April 12, 2023 - April 12, 2024).

*On March 24, the People's Committee of Thuan Giao ward in Thuan An city coordinated with Aeon Mall Binh Duong, Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Song Than Industrial Park Branch and Skybridge Co., Ltd. to organize a ceremony to launch the campaign of "All people exercising their bodies following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the Olympic Running Day for All People’s Health 2024.

The event was attended by leaders of units, localities and nearly 2,000 athletes from schools, agencies, mass organizations and quarters in and out of Thuan An city. Participating athletes were divided into 2 groups: Group A and Group B with distances of 1.1km and 2.2km.
