On the eve of the event honoring the Top 7 typical smart communities in the world in 2022, at the World Trade Center in Binh Duong New city, the exhibition of "Green Lifestyle - Connecting with ICF" offered the participating businesses and people interesting experiences. In which, businesses have more opportunities to promote their brands and products to international friends, and people also have the opportunity to experience and discover more about environmentally friendly products.

The meaningful message

Talking to us, Ms. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, CEO of World Trade Center (WTC) in Binh Duong New City, said that the Green Lifestyle Fair takes place from the evening of 17 to the end of June 19 with the desire to connect and promote brands and products for businesses, and at the same time, directly create useful and meaningful entertainment spaces for people. Ms. Linh said that the Green Lifestyle Fair was held at the time to connect with the Intelligent Community Forum directly promoting Vietnamese brands and products to international friends.

The reporter's research shows that the Green Lifestyle Fair has attracted the participation of 30 One Commune One Product (OCOP) booths, 10 Green Lifestyle booths and thousands of eco-friendly products on sales to create a playground for teenagers and children along with a dedicated space of about 2,000 square meters as an amusement and entertainment area.

Mr. Matthew Owen, CEO of ICF and Mr. Peter Portheine, Director of EIPO - Einhoven enjoy culinary specialties with Vietnamese brands

Mr. Matthew Owen, Executive Director of Intelligent Community Forum (ICF), said that he was very impressed with the Green Lifestyle Fair organized by the WTC in Binh Duong New City. “The handcrafted products made from eco-friendly materials with sophisticated, ingenious designs among many eye-catching designs have really fascinated me,” said Mr. Owen. The ICF CEO also did not forget to praise the juicy taste of Binh Duong fruits and culinary products on visiting the OCOP booths.

Mr. Owen said that similar fairs need to be held regularly, not only connecting businesses and creating a meaningful playground for people but also carrying a meaningful message in the cause of environmental protection associated with the goal of building a smart city that Binh Duong is aiming for. In addition, if held regularly, the WTC in Binh Duong New City will also be an ideal destination for foreign tourists when they have the opportunity to come to Binh Duong. Based on this fair, foreign tourists have more information and knowledge about the culture and people of Binh Duong in particular and Vietnam in general.

Reporters' records show that visitors and shoppers to the Green Lifestyle Fair are quite satisfied with the stalls and products on sales. In which, the most interested are the handmade product lines from water hyacinth, rattan, bamboo, sedge, lacquer handicraft products and OCOP-standard specialty fruits that businesses and localities bring to the fair. In general, all products have the common characteristics of being green, clean, beautiful, friendly and close to nature.

The excited young people

Only for more than 2 days, the Green Lifestyle Fair promptly conveyed meaningful messages and attracted the attention of a large number of people and tourists. According to the reporter's observation, only on June 18, hundreds of locals and foreign tourists came to visit and shop at the stalls. In which, the OCOP booths, handicraft and fine arts stalls are the most interested.

Nguyen Le Hang a 22-year-old student said she was very passionate and interested in handmade products, so as soon as she heard about the fair, she invited friends to visit and shop. Strolling around the stalls all morning, Hang bought herself a bag made from water hyacinth for VND 310,000. "I saw that the product was so sophisticatedly and definitely designed that I decided to buy it," said Hang excitedly.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Vy in charge of the Aruhi Concept handmade products booth at the fair said that in only just a few hours, her stall has attracted nearly a hundred visitors to visit and take pictures and shop for souvenirs. Coming to the fair with the only desire to promote brands and products, on the morning of June 18, the Aruhi Concept brand's booth had successfully closed orders and sold over 20 products.

Participating in the Green Lifestyle Fair, Thanh Loc Rattan and Bamboo Co. Ltd. also brought hundreds of handmade products from environmentally friendly materials such as rattan, bamboo, sedge, water hyacinth etc. With the advantage of naturally sourced materials, the products are designed and shaped delicately and sharply to attract the attention of many people. Ms. Nguyen Y Van, domestic order manager of Thanh Loc Company, said that in recent years, the company's market share has tended to grow quite steadily. Currently, in addition to the domestic market, the company also exports to Europe, Japan and Korea.

Mr. Le Quoc Quan, a resident of Dinh Hoa ward in Thu Dau Mot city, said that on weekends he often takes his wife and children to supermarkets and commercial centers to shop. On the occasion of surfing social networks, he knew of the fair’s meaningful theme, so he decided to bring his family to have more experience with the fair of the type. “After coming here, I love the culture and people of Thu Dau Mot even more. This is also the most meaningful and practical way to educate children about love for their homeland and country," said Quan.
