Expanding solidarity and gathering of young workers

Since early this year, provincial Support Center for Youth Workers has focused on building and establishing Youth Union branches in association with the work of gathering and uniting young workers through many appropriate models and activities, contributing to effectively implementing provincial project on uniting and gathering young workers.

Building Youth Union branches

The Youth Union of provincial Support Center for Young Workers has just set up its two branches of the Office and Little Star Kindergarten under the center. Do Van Phung, Director of provincial Support Center for Young Workers said: “Developing the organization of the Youth Union is an important political task of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. In particular, the work of uniting and gathering young workers in the current period needs to be promoted in the Youth Union branches of non-State enterprises. The establishment of 2 Youth Union branches is a premise and an important milestone for the Youth Union of the center to establish Youth Union branches in non-State enterprises, strengthening the task of gathering young people into the Youth Union.

After establishing 2 Youth Union branches, the center organized the establishment of 2 Youth Union branches at Diamond Vietnam Co., Ltd and Starway Co., Ltd. They are two large enterprises with a scale of nearly 5,000 workers in Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc Industrial Park, with 100% foreign investment. The two Youth Union branches established will orient comprehensive activities on all aspects of youth work in these enterprises. In particular, the center’s Party Committee and directorate will always support and create the most favorable conditions for Youth Union branches to develop with focus on creating a healthy environment and playground for Youth Union members and young people to participate in, organizing programs to care for and support the material and spiritual lives of young workers...

Up to now, the Youth Union of provincial Support Center for Young Workers has established 5 branches and will strive to set up at least 8 branches in non-State enterprises in 2022. The establishment of socio-political mass organizations in non-State enterprises have the role of supporting propaganda of policies and laws; organizing programs to serve young workers ‘cultural and spiritual lives, thereby promoting the movement of production and business, bringing much practical benefit to enterprises and employees.

Connection clubs promoted

Over the past time, provincial Support Center for Young Workers has made many efforts in the task of collecting young workers via the “Club connecting young workers” model. The Center has just launched the Club connecting young workers No. 34 at Starway Vietnam Co., Ltd. while establishing the Youth Union branch and the Club connecting young workers No. 35 at Wintech Vietnam Technology Development Investment Joint Stock Company.

Le Thuy Linh, Head of the Club connecting young workers No. 34 shared: “Over the past time, the center always accompanied enterprises in all activities. Hopefully in the future, the club will continue receiving support from the center in its activities. The club's managing board will actively mobilize, admit more members and actively participate in organizing meaningful activities to take care of young people working at the company."

With the efforts by the center, the model of the club connecting young workers has gradually increased the quantity and quality of gathering young workers. The clubs created practical playgrounds for young workers with programs serving cultural and spiritual lives, thereby creating favorable conditions in grasping the ideological situation of young workers so that the center can have timely orientations, bringing practical results in provincial Project on Uniting and Gathering Young Workers for the period of 2021 -2025.

Provincial Support Center for Young Laborers has so far established 35 Clubs connecting young workers, more than 50% of which are in foreign-invested enterprises. They were established to support, connect, and create practical playgrounds for young workers in province-based enterprises.

Do Van Phung, Director of provincial Support Center for Young Workers said: “Developing the organization of the Youth Union is an important political task of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Especially, the work of uniting and gathering young workers in the current period needs to be promoted in the Youth Union branches of non-State enterprises…”.
