Experiencing with Dau Tieng reservoir's tourism
When visiting Dau Tieng, one place you cannot miss is Dau Tieng reservoir. This is the largest artificial reservoir in Vietnam. The landscape of the reservoir is like a picturesque “mountain and water” painting. For this reason, it has become a popular destination for many people to enjoy weekends.

Dau Tieng reservoir is not only the largest reservoir in Vietnam, but also in Southeast Asia. The reservoir covers an area of up to 270 km². A portion of the resvervoir lies in Binh Duong province’s Dau Tieng district while the rest spans across Tay Ninh and Binh Phuoc provinces. The reservoir stretches widely, with Cau mountain standing majestically on its edge, creating a truly enchanting scene. This is precisely what attracts so many people to visit and experience its beauty over the past years.
Recently, several "prime" locations around Dau Tieng reservoir have been developed by investors with the aim of enhancing tourism experiences, including eco-tourism and recreational activities. Though still being under development, these places have already attracted many visitors who come to explore, organize picnics.
One of these locations is the Bang Lang Glamping Tourism Facility, situated in Dinh An commune’s Dong Sen hamlet. On weekends, the area is filled with groups of tourists who come to visit, rent camping tents and stay overnight to enjoy the fresh, cool air amidst the picturesque natural landscape surrounding Dau Tieng reservoir.
As dawn breaks or when sunset approaches, the scenery becomes even more breathtaking. In the evening, the refreshing breeze blows from the reservoir and it's the perfect time to set out a meal and enjoy delicious dishes with loved ones and friends while soaking in the cool, fresh air amidst this beautiful natural setting. It is truly an amazing experience.
With the natural advantages bestowed by nature, the Cau mountain - Dau Tieng reservoir complex is a harmonious combination of mountains and lakes, land and water... This is an advantage that many places aren’t fortunate enough to have. Therefore, in recent years, the development and exploitation of tourism tied to the Cau Mountain - Dau Tieng Reservoir complex has been a top priority for both Dau Tieng district and Binh Duong province. Currently, the district is implementing four general planning projects, which include: an ecological tourism service, resort and entertainment area at Tha La Peninsula of 458 hectares; Canh Dong Cay Siu eco-tourism, resort and entertainment service area of 222 ha; Thi Tinh dam ecological tourism area of 575 hectares; Can Nom lake ecological tourism service, resort and entertainment area of 1,153 hectares. Recently, provincial People's Council has approved the zoning task for the 1/2,000 scale plan for the ecological tourism service, resort and entertainment area at Tha La Peninsula, covering an area of approximately 458 hectares. When being completed, this project is expected to provide nearly 4,900 rooms, catering to between 37,000 and 61,600 visitors per day.
These are positive signs for tourism in Dau Tieng in particular and Binh Duong province in general. It is believed that in the near future, when these projects are completed and put into operation, Dau Tieng will become one of the prominent tourist destinations on the Vietnam tourism map.
