Exportation is under strong growth

In 9 months of 2015, exporting activities in Binh Duong Province continue to develop with exporting revenue estimated to be USD 13.926 billion or 17.6% higher than previous terms of 2014. The traditional exporting markets are the US, EU, Japan, and ASEAN of stable growth.

Major exporting cargoes of good growth

In recent 9 months, the traditional major cargoes for exporting of Binh Duong Province such as wood, textile, and shoe-making eyed good growth compared to the same term in 2014. Nguyen Thai Quang, Head of Industrial Division of Department of Industry and Trade informed that in 9 months, the woodwork sector has led the exporting revenue of the whole province. In recent years, wood products have been high growth thanks to recovery of global economies including the major exporting markets of the US, South Korea, Japan, Germany, and UK. According to Do Thi Kim Loan, the Deputy President of Binh Duong Provincial Woodwork Association, the current market has been preferential. In 9 months, exportation to the US market has increased by 15-20% higher than previous year.

Aside from woodwork sector, textile took its second placement in provincial exportation revenue. From the beginning of the year, exportation market development perspective of textile sector has been relatively good. The traditional markets of the US, EU, South Korea, and China have been of average 8-11% growth higher than the same period of 2014. Duong Chi Hao, Director of Tuong Long Textile Co. Ltd. specialized in jean and khaki products at Song Than Industrial Park II in Di An Town said that the company has earned about VND 500 billion of revenue and profits of 10% higher than previous year. Currently, the company has signed exportation orders for the end of February 2016.

For the delight results of exportation in 9 months, Phan Le Diem Trang, the Deputy President of Binh Duong Provincial Textile Association asserted that exportation of the sector in 2015 is expected to growth by 11-15% compared to 2014.

As for shoes, exportation orders in 9 months have been rich in categories and prices of 10% higher than previous term. Currently, Vietnam is one of the 3 nations of highest shoes exportation to EU, China, and Italia. According to Truong Thuy Lien, the Deputy President of Binh Duong Provincial Association of Shoes, customers from nations to Binh Duong Province eyed strong growth. Particularly, Chinese customers have increased their orders to Vietnam as more free trade deals are made, bringing more benefits to shoe-making industry. Thanks to this progress, many enterprises have exceeded their estimation for the whole year of 2015.

Opportunities should be well taken

According to Pham Van Xo, the President of BInh Duong Provincial Association of Exportation, the 9-month exporting activities in Binh Duong Province have eyed good results thanks to particular investment attraction policies to timely remove barriers for enterprises while offering good conditions for enterprises to conduct effective production.

Under evaluation of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, implementation of measures to resolve difficulties for production and business promotion has been effectively applied. Besides, Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee and functional agencies have timely met up and talked with enterprises and cargo associations to timely resolve obstacles and proposals of enterprises. Trade and investment promotion programs have also been organized to offer conditions for enterprises to seek out exportation opportunities.

In the context of Vietnam’s current negotiation for free trade treaties, enterprises in Binh Duong Province will be offered with opportunities to expand their exporting market and increase exportation revenue of the province. However, to make good use of such treaties, each enterprise is required to create their detail strategy to make use of their particular development opportunities.

Pham Van Xo added that in 2016, exportation windows for enterprises will be wider as more free trade deals are made with Vietnam. However, for the time to come, they will be facing great challenges as Vietnam is more open to other nations to invest into, making up stronger competition against local production of lower commandment and rational actions.

Sharing the same opinions, Duong Chi Hao said that Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) will be offered more purchase orders to textile enterprises; however, they will be of great challenges. To mitigate this, enterprises are required to carry out effective marketing.
