Farmers' Union upholds glorious revolutionary tradition

Over 94 years of construction and development, the Vietnam Farmers' Union (VFU) has always been worthy of the Party's trust and love, excellently fulfilling tasks of the union and farmers' movement and contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks.

At the launching ceremony of a movement organized by the Provincial Farmers' Union, Farmers' Union of districts and cities in the province sign emulation covenants for 2024.

 Unity

The Vietnamese working class in general and Binh Duong working class in particular have made great contributions to the national cause of liberation revolution, building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. The Provincial Farmers' Union and its members in Binh Duong always maintain unwavering faith in the revolutionary cause of the Party and Uncle Ho, and unite with one heart. They bring together people from all classes and strata to create a strong and enduring alliance of workers, farmers, and intellectuals. This contributes to building a united national front during revolutionary periods.

Under the leadership of the Party, the Farmers' Union at all levels in the province has actively and creatively innovated its operations. They have increased propaganda efforts and mobilized members and farmers to work towards implementing the directions, goals, and tasks of the union’s work and the farmers' movement, thus promoting the revolutionary tradition.

Namely, the Provincial Farmers' Union led and directed all its levels to engage in Party building, building a clean and strong government and political system, implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws. On the other hand, the union improved service, consulting, support, and vocational training activities to meet the practical needs and interests of members and farmers. It effectively implemented programs and projects for socio-economic development in rural areas. Thereby, the emulation movements of farmers took place vigorously, promoting efficiency in production and business and enhancing the role and responsibility of the association in agricultural development, new rural construction, and civilized urban construction.

Competition for good production and doing good business

In line with the resolutions of the 10th Provincial Farmers' Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term, Farmers' Unions at all levels in Binh Duong province have been actively implementing these resolutions by organizing various movements that involve a large number of members and farmers, thus bringing the resolutions to life. Since the beginning of 2024, the union has launched and had 39,130 member households and farmers registering to achieve the title of farmers doing excellent production and business at all levels. The movement of farmers who compete in producing high-quality goods and collaborate to help each other reduce poverty sustainably is continuing to grow. Many farmers have overcome challenges to become farm and business owners. They have formed production linkage groups and cooperatives, and have developed new programs for crops and livestock.

Meanwhile, the Farmers' Union at all levels is enhancing training and nurturing knowledge, qualifications, skills, cooperative thinking, and production and business linkages for farmers. Many farming households are creative in the production and application of scientific and technological advances, bringing high economic efficiency and contributing to the development of agricultural production, economic restructuring, and rural labor.

Along with that, the program of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas is carried out by all levels of the union, mobilizing members to contribute and directly implement criteria related to agriculture, farmers and rural areas. Since the beginning of this year, the Farmers' Union at all levels in the province has coordinated efforts to mobilize members and farmers to participate in various community improvement activities. These activities include planting flowers on roads, upgrading rural roads, clearing and cleaning streets, dredging canals and ditches in the fields, clearing 36km of sewers, repairing and renovating 3 bridges and culverts, and participating in installing lights and security cameras on 6 roads. In addition, members and farmers also apply social security policies and programs and implement the Project "Mass mobilization work to participate in building a cultural and civilized lifestyle" in the province.

Mr. Do Ngoc Huy, Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial Farmers' Association, said that in the coming time, the association will continue to closely follow the local political tasks and key tasks and targets of Resolution of the 8th Vietnam Farmers' National Congress and resolutions of congresses of Farmers' Unions at all levels for the 2023-2028 term. Farmers' Unions at all levels in the province have encouraged unity, worked to overcome challenges, and reaffirmed their central and core role in farmers' movements. They have actively communicated the Party's guidelines, policies, and the State's laws to farmers, particularly those related to agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. This has contributed to the successful realization of the goal of building a civilized and prosperous homeland in Binh Duong.
