On occasion of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Korea, the first Korean Culture and Content Festival took place in Binh Duong New City. With many attractive and meaningful activities, the festival brought interesting experiences and opened up new development opportunities for young people.

The atmosphere of the heart of Binh Duong New City over last weekend was thrilling and bustling with many colorful booths during the Korean Culture and Content Festival 2022. Numerous young people and students of schools in the area have had an opportunity to experience Korean culture through interesting activities.
Joining his classmates to cheer for the school's Sailing36 Dance Team at the Cover K-Pop dance competition of the festival, Nguyen Van Sang (student of Thu Dau Mot University), said it was fun to interact directly with Koreans. They were very beautiful and friendly when inviting visitors to take part in cultural experience activities at festival booths. The funniest was the performances of many dance teams at the stage of K-Pop Cover dance competition. As for Huynh Ngoc Oanh, (student of Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology), was exhilarated, as she took photos with Koreans and posted on social networks. Through the enthusiastic guidance, the experience, and exhibition images, she knew more about the beauty of the Kimchi culture.
According to Nguyen Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Students' Union, the festival attracted 1,000 students of universities and colleges in the province. After the opening, exhibition booths were very busy with visitors. In addition, every day, the main stage of the festival also organized many attractive programs according to specific time frame, especially the K-Pop Cover dance competition, bubble show, and cartoon screenings for children... On the last night (27 Feb), the audience had a chance to feel and immerse themselves in the Hallyu atmosphere (Korean cultural wave) with Korean - Vietnamese OST performances (Original Sound Track), interviews with stars such as Singer Nicky, Van Mai Huong, Trung Quan Idol, Hoang Duyen, JUST B, Super V..., and a special poomsae performance on K-Pop music of Ho Chi Minh Taekwondo team.

Coming to this colorful festival, young people also find many opportunities to develop themselves. Tran Thi Suong, a student at Ben Cat High School, said her dream is to become a tour guide. Therefore, as coming to the festival, she found more opportunities for career development in the future.
Nguyen Khoa Hai, Director of Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the Korean Culture and Content Festival 2022 was held for the first time in Binh Duong with many attractive items to attract young Binh Duong’s attention to Korean culture and to create more contents between Korea and Vietnam. The program received special support from Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union and universities in the province, Hung Vuong High School, residential areas developed by Becamex Tokyu, and partners in the province in order to bring a unique cultural festival as well as career development opportunities to Binh Duong youth. Also in this festival, Vietnam and Korea signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in content development in Binh Duong province.
Through this series of events, Binh Duong continues to prove itself as a reliable destination and become the center of the Korean investment wave when maintaining investment promotion activities, economic cooperation combined with the organization of Korean cultural festivals. Suk Jing Young, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, said: "It can be said that this is an event that we have been waiting for a long time, marking the return to a new normalcy after the Covid-19 pandemic."
From February 25th to 27th, at the Provincial Convention - Exhibition Center, Binh Duong New City World Trade Center (operated by Becamex IDC) cooperated with Korea Content Culture Development Organization (KOCCA) to organize the first Korean Content and Culture Festival in Binh Duong; and signed a strategic cooperation agreement on content development industry in Binh Duong province. Recently, Becamex IDC has cooperated with COEX (Korea's Convention and Exhibition Center) to provide services according to international standards at Binh Duong New City World Trade Center.
