FDI attraction in Binh Duong province ranked second nationwide

The Ministry of Planning and Investment, as of December 20, has reported of the total newly registered, adjusted and contributed capital resources to shares and capital contributions of foreign investors in 2022 reached nearly USD 27.72 billion USD, equivalent to 89% over the same period in 2021. Although the newly registered investment capital decreased, the number of new investment projects and adjusted investment capital also increased over the same period.

Specifically, 2,036 new projects were granted with investment registration certificates (increasing by 17.1% over the same period); the total registered capital reached nearly USD 12.45 billion (decreasing by 18.4%); 1,107 projects were registered to adjust investment capital (increasing by 12.4%); total registered capital increased to nearly USD 10.12 billion by 12.2%; 3,566 times of capital contribution and share purchase from foreign investors was the decrease by 6.1%; the total value of contributed capital reached more than USD 5.15 billion (decreasing by 25.2%). Ho Chi Minh city leads the way with a total registered investment capital of more than USD 3.94 billion, accounting for 14.2% of total registered investment capital. Binh Duong was ranked second with total investment capital of more than USD 3.14 billion, accounting for 11.3% of total capital and 47.3% over the same period. Quang Ninh was ranked third with a total registered investment capital of nearly USD 2.37 billion.
