Female teachers to be good at school affairs, responsible for family affairs

In the past, women only had to take care of housework and family members. But nowadays, women not only participate in social works like men but also have to fulfill responsibilities of wife and mother. To female teachers, they have fulfilled responsibilities of the two roles: “good at school affairs, responsible for family affairs”.

Good at school

According to sectorial Trade Union’s President Nguyen Van Kim, most female teachers have been striving for bettering teachers’ personalities and good virtues.

A teacher must constantly improve their academic competences, meeting basically and comprehensively innovative requirements of educational sector. Therefore, female teachers have been learning, training themselves. By now, the proportion of female teachers meeting pedagogical standards of state-owned sector is over 99%. Ben Cat town Education – Training Bureau’s Deputy Head Pham Thi Tien said, the movement of “Good at school affairs, responsible for family affairs” has been combined with campaigns of "Good teaching, good learning", "Women actively learning, working creatively, building a happy family" and some big movements. Thereby, some prominent individuals have emerged.

Female teachers of TDM City educational sector have created and used handmade teaching aids.

Currently, female teachers from kindergarten to university level have focused on setting up discipline in teaching, writing initiatives, scientific research. Good teachers Vo Minh Duc Award held annually gathers examples of dedicated teachers. Besides, the contest "Making and using handmade teaching aids" was a place for female teachers to demonstrate their abilities to make efficient aids and appliances.

Implementing education reform, female teachers have actively improved teaching methods, applied information technology into teaching. Each teacher, each unit has their own creative ways. Tan Phuoc Khanh high school’s Trade Union President Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet said, the school had encouraged women to promote competences, participate in emulation movements. Discovering and cultivating capable pupils for provincial, national contests are an important task of each school and the whole sector, especially teachers. Therefore, most of female teachers have been zealous in training capable pupils.

Responsible for family affairs

According to Mr. Kim, most of female teachers have played an important role in building happy family, bringing up and educating children.

At each  school, there were many examples of “Good at school affairs, responsible for family affairs”. Hoa Hong 6 Kindergarten’s Principal Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung is an example. She said, with the love for this profession, she determined to become a good manager. Due to her leadership, the school achieved excellent results in many years. On the other hand, she has educated well her offspring. They now are teachers. To her, maintaining a happy family has contributed positively to children’s personalities, enabling children to learn, work, and grow well.

To meet requirements of the renovation and integration, the role of women in general, and female teachers in particular has been harder, required women to put more effort to fulfill works of the two roles.
