FIFA grants US$20,000 to Vietnam’s Football For All

Update: 05-10-2013 | 00:00:00
The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) has allocated US$20,000 in funding to Thua Thien-Hue province’s “Football for All in Vietnam” (FFAV) initiative. The financing will be used to expand the 2014 football programmes organised for social support centres’ youth at risk. The project’s activities include a football popularisation movement, a fun football festival, and a football school. Deputy FFAV in Thua Thien-Hue Director Nguyen Hoang Phuong said the initiative is also designed to incorporate life skill learning spanning traffic safety, unexploded ordnance risk prevention, communication, and environmental consciousness. FFAV began in Thua Thien-Hue in 2003. It has so far established one hundred and forty five football clubs involving 14,000 young participants. VOV
