In the first 6 months of the year, the number of newly established enterprises and those re-entering the market increased by 3.4% over the same period, with 3,309 enterprises, total registered capital of more than VND21.25 trillion. The number of enterprises increasing capital was 777, with more than VND18.53 trillion. The province had additional 124 foreign enterprises increasing by more than US$2.5 billion in investment capital. In the current difficult context, this figure confirms the faith and expectation of the business community in a stronger recovery of Binh Duong's economy in the coming time.
With outstanding efforts, the province’s gross domestic product (GRDP) increased by 6.84% over the same period last year. The province’s index of industrial production in the first 6 months of the year increased by 8.35% over the same period last year. Binh Duong has effectively implemented the tasks and solutions set out in the Resolution 01/NQ-CP of the Government, which is the "unity and discipline, proactive adaptation, safety and efficiency, recovery and development". These results came from the close attention of authorities at all levels in removing bottlenecks, inspiring and unlocking the motivation for development. The business community has constantly made efforts in recovering and developing.
Although getting successes, the province has still faced both opportunities and challenges ahead. These challenges come from the world’s situation that is complicated, unpredictable and risky. Along with that, the domestic economy was heavily affected by the pandemic and it needs time for recovery. In addition, socio-economic activities are gradually recovering in the "new normal" state when gasoline prices, input costs for production, living and transportation will increase, interest rates will increase together with natural disasters getting complicated...All have affected production and business activities when the economy has a large openness and is heavily influenced by external factors.
Facing this situation, in addition to the efforts by the Government and localities in managing macroeconomic policies, the business community needs to stick to the developments of the market, adapt to the new context, put trust on forecasts and market information of ministries and sectors, have a sustainable development plan in parallel with focusing on solving immediate problems. All make efforts with expectation that Binh Duong will achieve the highest results, successfully implement tasks in 2022 and socio-economic development plan for the period of 2021-2025.
