Final round of the 2023 National Workers' Football Championship kicks off

On November 17, final round of the 2023 National Workers' Football Championship officially opened at SORA Gardens Links football field, Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city.

Attending the opening ceremony were Nguyen Dinh Khang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation; Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Provincial Party Standing Committee members; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minh said that the organization of the 2023 National Workers' Football Championship has opened a useful and practical playground for local workers; the competition is also a festival for workers to launch the movement of physical training and sports, improving the health of workers, contributing to promoting the campaign for all people to practice sports, following the example of Uncle Ho; meeting needs and aspirations, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition, exchange, mutual understanding, building a spirit of solidarity and sustainable attachment among workers across the country.

Minh also requested that Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Provincial Confederation of Labor, Becamex IDC Corporation and related units coordinate closely, prepare carefully, and create the best conditions for the tournament to took place successfully.

The 2023 National Workers' Football Championship is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Vietnam Football Federation. The final round has the participation of 8 teams, taking place from November 17 to 19. Total prize value is up to VND840 million.
