Financial aid under welfare package "Emergency response to reduce the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic" given to 69 households in Tan Uyen Town

On the morning of February 23, the Provincial Children's Fund and standing agency of the project "Emergency response to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in southern provinces of Vietnam" organized a ceremony to give support to 69 households in Uyen Hung and Khanh Binh wards of Tan Uyen town, who were severely affected in the last fourth pandemic wave. Each family received a support of 1.2 million VND/month.

Previously, Binh Duong Provincial Project Management Board collaborated with Save the Children (SC) to hold a conference to kick off the project "Emergency response to reduce the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in northern provinces of Vietnam”. In Binh Duong province, SC cooperates with the People's Committee and relevant departments, agencies. It is expected that about 300 children and families in the province would directly benefit from the project with a support level of over VND 4.6 billion.

The direct beneficiaries of the project are children suffering special poor circumstances and at risk of falling into special circumstances due to the direct impact of the Covid-19, with priority given to groups of orphans due to Covid-19; children infected with Covid-19; children are subject to isolation and lockdown measures.

Besides cash support, the project also provides food and livelihoods for children and families; learning equipment and tools for children; protects children in an emergency... The remaining relief packages will be implemented in the following months until the end of August 2022.
