In order to actively prevent fire in the dry season, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Division has advised the provincial Police to propose the provincial People’s Committee and coordinated with the police of districts, towns and cities to strengthen propaganda, guidance and dissemination of legal education and knowledge of fire prevention and fighting to officials, employees, business households and people. The risk of fire is very high during the dry season, affirmed Captain Pham Ngoc Thanh, Commissioner of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team under Thu Dau Mot city Police as the demand for daily electricity use of people and production enterprises increases. Therefore, Thu Dau Mot city Police has strengthened inspection and guidance to ensure fire safety at the facilties.
In addition, the fire prevention and fighting police force has also enhanced in terms of training and profession at grassroots fire prevention and fighting forces. Exercises of fire fighting, rescue and relief at enterprises inside and outside the industrial zone with the mobilization of many forces have been regularly practiced to guide the establishments to proficiently practice in exercises and ensure readiness of forces and vehicles to quickly and promptly handle situations of fire, explosion, incidents and accidents that occur.
In addition, the fire prevention and fighting forces of the whole province have organized fire safety inspection teams at key areas and establishments with high risk of fire and explosion that easily generate large fires or explosions such as crowded gatherings, dance halls, karaoke, apartment buildings, high-rise buildings, market places, commercial centers, and facilities inside and outside industrial zones and clusters among others. During the inspection, special attention should be paid to measures to strictly manage combustible substances and solutions, people's emergency exits in case of fire and explosion, solutions available to prevent fire from spreading over a large area, and measures to strictly manage fire and heat sources. The electrical system and the use of electrical equipment, electricity consumption must especially be safe; the organization of forces, means of fire prevention and fighting as well as patrolling security forces are especially ensured on holidays, after office hours and at night. The operational status of fire prevention and fighting equipment are checked regularly at the facilities. Violations of regulations on fire prevention and fighting shall be strictly handled to resolutely suspend operations for cases of intentional violations or establishments that fail to ensure fire prevention and fighting conditions that have been put into operation, by all measures to prevent large fires and explosions causing serious damage.
Captain Pham Ngoc Thanh added that, after the New Year, the personnel changes may prompt the members of the grassroots fire prevention team to change in enterprises. At production facilities, the Fire Police force also organizes self-inspection and review of the production process, electrical system, arrangement and arrangement of goods to reduce the risk of fires or explosions. In residential areas, the team also held many direct propaganda sessions, distributed leaflets as well as propagated through the loudspeaker system so that people could increase their vigilance, thereby contributing to fire and explosion prevention.
The provincial police suggested that agencies, businesses, schools and people need to strengthen measures to ensure fire safety within their management.
