First congress of provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union for 2024-2027 tenure opens

Early October 26, the first congress of provincial Agencies Bloc’s Youth Union for the 2024-2027 term took place at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center. The congress saw the participation of 162 delegates from 42 Youth Union branches, representing a total of 2,958 trade unionists across the bloc.

During the last term, the  programs, activities and solutions of the bloc’s Youth Union underwent many innovations, with enhancement in content and format, particularly in the implementation of the Politburo's Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW on further realizing the 12th Politburo’s Directive No. 05-CT/TW on "Acceleration of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle" in association with the Resolution of the 4^th plenum of the 12^th Party Central Committee on enhancing the building and rectification of the Party; preventing and repulsing the degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle as well as the manifestation of the internal “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the Party.

In the last term, the three revolutionary action movements, namely “Youth volunteer”, “Creative youth” and “Youth taking the lead in nation building and protection” were effectively implemented, yielding positive results. The “Civilized Saturday” and “Green Sunday” youth works were enthusiastically conducted. Social welfare volunteer activities also saw strong development with a variety of programs and models, attracting nearly 50,000 participants, including Youth Union members and people, with the annual support value of over VND 2 billion.

With the slogan of “The Youth of provincial Agencies Bloc: United - Aspirational - Dynamic - Creative - Progressive”, the bloc’s Youth Union has outlined 4 key tasks, 10 basic targets and 4 youth initiatives for the 2024-2027 term. Notable targets include making at least 10 activities for the “Civilized Saturday” program to get involved in building new-style rural and civilized urban areas, promoting bright, green, clean, beautiful, civilized and safe workplaces; organizing at least 5 activities to improve foreign language skills and international integration for Youth Union members; striving to have all Youth Union branches to achieve good or higher task completion ratings annually; striving have at least 250 outstanding Youth Union members admitted into the Party…

The congress elected a new Executive Committee of the bloc’s Youth Union with 29 members. At the first meeting, the Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee of 9 members, with Bien Tuan Vu elected as Secretary of the bloc’s Youth Union for the 2024-2027 term.
