First day of entrance exam to public high school of 2023-2024 safe and favorable to candidates

June 1, more than 22,000 students in the province completed the first two tests of literature and English of the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the school year 2023-2024 administered by the Department of Education and Training. Around 7 am, the candidates were present at the exam boards with happy and relaxed mood, ready to take the challenging entrance exam. Most candidates have carefully prepared documents and materials that are allowed to bring into the exam rooms according to regulations. The proctors also reminded candidates to strictly follow the rules during the tests. This year, the number of candidates is large, so on average, each exam room has 25-26 candidates. Some exam boards have up to 28 candidates per exam room. However, the exam boards still ensure the position and distance between the candidates.

Nguyen Phuc Loc, Chairman of the Examination Board of Ben Cat High School in Ben Cat town, said that although he had organized for candidates to learn regulations, to avoid subjective psychology, negligence led to violation of regulations on test of the candidates, before each exam session and when calling candidates into the examination room, the examiner is responsible for reminding and checking carefully absolutely not to bring items, documents including cell phones into the exam rooms.

In order to help candidates confidently and comfortably enter the exam, the teachers always create the best conditions and support them in all aspects. Before entering the exam, the Department of Education and Training has also agreed that if there is a case that a candidate forgets to bring his or her exam card, he or she will still be able to enter the exam room, and then send a proctor is to verify the case without leaving the candidates in panicking. In addition, the Department of Education and Training also organized delegations to inspect the examination work at all test sites, ensuring the school's discipline. On the first day of the exam, no officials and candidates in the province violated the regulations.

Talking to us, Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that the first day of the entrance exam for the 10th grade high school in the school year of 2023-2024 in the province went smoothly. The exam boards maintain and implement well the conditions and regulations of the exam with maximum support for candidates and ensure security and safety at all stages. The first day of the exam with 2 subjects taking place safely and seriously, the candidates had a relaxed and happy mentality.

Candidates moderately challenged by the tests

At the end of the exam time on the first day of the test, the candidates left with different moods. According to the students' assessment, this year's exam questions are completely in the content of the review, not quizzes, the subject of literature is quite long. For students who have studied well enough, they will certainly do well in the exam. In particular, the essay part of the philology course is about the power of love in life, so it is not difficult for candidates.

At exactly 10 o'clock, the drum sounded to signal the end of the time for the English language test after 120 minutes. At 10:30 more or less, the first candidates at the exam site Nguyen Hue High School of Phu Giao district walked out of the entrance exam rooms. Dang Thanh Hang, a student at An Linh Secondary School, confidently said that this year's exam questions were just right for her and within her understanding. “Social discourse in philology is good because it talks about a social issue that is love. I hope my test will get 8 or 9. And I will definitely get 7, because most of the questions in our test have been carefully reviewed by our teachers at school and have done quite a lot," said Dang Thanh Hang excitedly.

And Le Nguyen Minh Thu, a student of Tan Phuoc Khanh Secondary School in Tan Uyen city, thought that this year's literature exam was quite good because at school, she had reviewed a lot by teachers. She was hopeful for above average mark points. For the English test, she was also very confident in her competence.

After stepping out of the Examination Council No. 3 located at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School in Thu Dau Mot city, Pham Ngoc Yen Nhi, a student at Tuong Binh Hiep Secondary School, happily said: “The subject of the exam was not too hard, only different from previous years was that we did not have time to rest between listening and writing lessons. I also carefully reviewed the content reviewed in class, so this time I rate myself at 6 to 7 points."

June 2, the candidates conduct a math test in a duration of 120 minutes, which is also the final exam of the entrance exam to the 10th grade high school in 2023-2024.
