Five tourism development compounds set up

Tan Uyen city’s plan on tourism development to 2025, with an orientation towards 2030, has been formulated based on a comprehensive assessment of the local conditions, potential and tourism advantages in line with the local socio-economic development strategy in the overall development framework of Binh Duong province and the Southeastern region. According to the plan, the city will set up five tourism development compounds, including:

-Thanh Hoi tourism compound: This area will focus on developing high-tech eco-community tourism combined with agriculture, offering experiences of the distinctive rural lifestyle at local farms.

-Bach Dang islet tourism compound: This area will develop tourism products focused on resorts combined with recreational activities, including river tourism, “Don ca tai tu” (southern folk opera) and tours of specialty pomelo orchards.

-Tan Phuoc Khanh - Thai Hoa Craft Village Tourism Compound: This area is suitable for developing experiential craft village tourism, where visitors can enjoy performances of Tan Khanh Ba Tra martial arts. It can be combined with Rua Islet to develop rural tourism tours that include traditional craft village experiences or with Bach Dang Islet to create eco-tourism tours where visitors participate in the production of traditional products.

- Uyen Hung ward - Vanh Loi Base Relic Tourism Compound: This area will focus on developing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism, a type of tourism that combines event participation with cultural and historical learning. It is ideal for delegations in and of the province to visit Tan Uyen for conferences and “return-to-the root” events.

- The river tourism compound is for tourists who purely want to explore by river, coming from Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai and can be combined with other river tourism routes in the region.
