Focusing on preparations for 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification
Early April 10, Nguyen Loc Ha, Permanent Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee, chaired a meeting to review the preparations for events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). The meeting was attended by Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization; Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

At the meeting, leaders of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the organization of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Liberation of Thu Dau Mot province and Southern Liberation and National Reunification. Accordingly, the plan focuses on three major activities, including a program to visit and give gifts to policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors; preparatory work to organize the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Thu Dau Mot province, the liberation of the South, national reunification and celebration activities.
The highlights of the celebration include a variety of meaningful programs such as a special art performance and fireworks display to mark the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; a ceremony to honor 50 outstanding collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of Binh Duong province during the 1975–2025 period; a provincial Literature and Arts Conference commemorating 50 years since national reunification, along with a scientific seminar titled “Binh Duong Literature and Arts: 50 Years After National Reunification”. Additional events include a traditional boat racing tournament; a sports festival for entrepreneurs; a charity marathon to raise funds for eliminating substandard houses in the province; ceremonies for groundbreaking, inauguration and the presentation of investment policy approval and investment registration certificates for key socio-economic development projects across the province.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ha expressed his general agreement with the reports presented and the contributions made by delegates. He emphasized the need for relevant units to closely coordinate in organizing the upcoming activities, ensuring comprehensive preparations for a solemn, meaningful and successful celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. In particular, units need to focus on strengthening propaganda work so that people from all strata can deeply understand the event of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification while focusing on well preparing the National Festival of the 50th anniversary of reunification held in quarters and hamlets...
