Focusing on traffic safety in rural areas

Possibly speaking, the provincial work of traffic safety in rural areas has over the past time reached remarkable changes. The Traffic Safety Committee at all levels have set out proper plans, raising the public’s awareness on traffic safety, curbing damages caused by traffic accidents.

Phu Giao district’s Traffic Safety Board has stepped up measures of traffic safety and order. At present, the committee has 20 members, led by the district People’s Committee chairman.

 

In terms of dissemination work, the local Radio Station often broadcasts instructions relating to traffic safety and order once a week whilst the local Youth Union holds propagations on traffic safety with the participation of 1,750 youths and unionists.

Besides, local youths involved in cleaning streets and markets for urban rejuvenation. A contest on traffic safety co-organized by the local division of Education and Training and Judiciary Division lured the attendance of 250 local pupils. As a result, Phuoc Vinh high school grabbed the first prize, followed by Nguyen Hue high school and Phuoc Hoa junior secondary school.

 

In the past year, the local Urban Management Department completed 4 rural routes with the total length of over 48,000 meters, upgraded and repaired over 18,000m of routes as well as installed 186 various traffic signs and upgraded 10km of road and so on.       

 

Meanwhile, Tan Uyen district’s police force gave more support to the district’s Traffic Safety Committee to effectively realize the task of ensuring traffic safety and order. The local traffic police also actively patrolled, inspected and discovered 9,013 wrong cases with a total fine of more than VND4bln; temporarily seized 81 cars and 4,921 motorbikes, 1,139 driving licenses…

 

As a remote locality of the province, Dau Tieng district over time paid attention to ensuring traffic safety and order. The district effectively realized the Government’s decrees on traffic safety and many other relevant programs. Noticeably, the district’s sectors and mass organizations effectively implemented their functions regarding traffic safety. The district’s Construction Inspection Team inspected and imposed fine on 230 cases encroaching onto streets…The district’s Urban Management Agency also had a survey to work out the work on replacing two water inlet sluices…

 

To effectively ensure traffic safety and order, localities and functional forces continue to put forward some key plans, including disseminating the Law on Road among people, giving training courses on knowledge relating to the “Building model communes and wards on traffic safety” campaign, strengthening patrols and giving strict punishments to the breaches of traffic safety and order…
