On January 19, provincial Party Committee’s delegation, led by Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation had a working session with the Standing Boards of North Tan Uyen district’s Party Committee and Tan Uyen town’s Party Committee on the local socio-economic development in 2021 and plans for 2022. The delegation also visited and presented gifts to the local policy beneficiary families, children, people with disabilities, poor households and medical units.
North Tan Uyen with appropriate planning in each period
In the morning, the delegation had a working session with the Standing Board of North Tan Uyen district’s Party Committee. In 2021, although facing many difficulties from Covid-19 pandemic, thanks to the concentrated leadership of the province, the support of departments, sectors together with the spirit of solidarity, the efforts by the whole political system, the business community and people from all strata in overcoming difficulties, North Tan Uyen district continued achieving many important targets in all fields. The economy continued developing and moving in the right direction. The local system of economic, technical and social infrastructure also continued receiving investment, well serving the needs of the people. The district’s cultural and social fields were effectively implemented. The distict’s political security, social order and safety were also ensured. In addition, the district reached positive changes in Party and government building. The activities of the district’s Fatherland Front and mass organizations also gained many improvements.

The key task of North Tan Uyen district in 2022 is to focus on rechecking the system of programs and plans to implement the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 tenure to effectively implement in association with organizing the implementation of the central resolutions and conclusions in 2021; opportunely review the implementation of resolutions, conclusions and directives under the direction of the Government and the province. The district will also focus on leading and directing the completion of the targets under the Resolution of the district Party Committee in 2022; strive to recover and promote the local socio-economic development while effectively implementing solutions against the Covid-19 pandemic…
Speaking at the working session, Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated the efforts by the Standing Board of North Tan Uyen district’s Party Committee and requested that the district needs to focus on economic development, including appropriate planning and investment in urban infrastructure in the 2020-2025 period, with a vision to 2025-2030. The district’s agricultural products must be clean at domestic and foreign market standards. The district’s rural areas must be built modernly with ecology ensured, civilized farmers, construction of smart villages and cooperatives. The district will further foster industrial parks and compounds with environmental sanitation ensured; develop education, take care of the education of workers' children. Regarding healthcare, the district needs to concentrate on grassroots healthcare and treatment systems, develop private healthcare to participate in public health care. The district also needs to better carry out social welfare work, especially for those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
On this occasion, the delegation gave 232 gifts for the local children, people with disabilities and poor households under the “Tet for the poor" program 2022. The delegation also visited, examined and presented gifts to the medical staff of the district’s Covid-19 treatment center; visited and presented gifts to Truong Van Nghi with 40-year Party membership and two invalids, namely Le Van Can and Nguyen Thi Lan in Tan Thanh town. In addition, the delegation gave gifts for Lam Thi Bich Thien, a worker with difficult circumstance in Dat Cuoc commune and paid a visit to Dat Cuoc commune’s mobile medical station and community-based Covid-19 group.
Tan Uyen needing more breakthroughs in development
On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation had a working session with the Standing Board of Tan Uyen town’s Party Committee. In 2021, the town drastically implemented effective Covid-19 prevention and control, bringing about stable economic development and taking good care of people's lives. During the year, the town’s value of industrial production and construction was estimated at more than VND29.44 trillion, up 9.26% over the same period. The district’s total retail sales revenue of goods and services was estimated at more than VND 14.45 trillion, up 13.6% over the same period. Although being affected by the pandemic, the town has still mobilized all resources for the local social welfare work, taking good care of the subjects on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022.
The Secretary of provincial Party Committee highly appreciated results done by Tan Uyen town over the past year, especially in the implementation of the "dual goals" of ensuring Covid-19 prevention-control and economic development. The towm must focus on economic development to complete its plan on development into a city in this term with modern, comfortable and worth-living criteria. Specifically, the town must invest in infrastructure facilities to serve the local process of urban industrial development; try to develop industrial manufacture in parallel with environmental protection; focus on site clearance…; strengthen protection of people's health, do better in Covid-19 prevention and control in the new context. The town needs to take care of vulnerable and disadvantaged people; build houses for workers; further promote administrative reform, smart city construction... The Secretary of provincial Party Committee wanted that Tan Uyen town will have more breakthroughs in development in 2022.
On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation attended the "Tet for the poor" program 2022 in Tan Uyen town, which was co-held by provincial Red Cross Society and the town’s People's Committee. The program gave 44 gifts worth VND1.85million each, including VND1.3million in cash, for the local blind people; offered 198 gifts worth VND1.6million, comprising of VND1million in cash, to needy families.
The delegation visited, offered gifts to the town’s Covid-19 Treatment Center, encouraged medical forces on duty here with efforts in the local Covid-19 fight. On behalf of the delegation, Mai Hung Dung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee visited and presented gifts to Tan Phuoc Khanh ward’s mobile medical station, community-based Covid-19 group; visited and give gifts for Bui Ngoc Thanh in Khanh Hoi quarter with 60-year Party membership; heroic Vietnamese mother Bui Thi Da and the family of Huynh Tan Sang, a poor resident in Khanh Loc quarter.
In the visiting places, the Secretary of provincial Party Committee extended best regards and shared difficulties with the people over the past time, hoping that they will try to overcome obstacles in order to stabilize their lives. He also wished them good health and a happy, peaceful and warm New Year.
