From the target of green economy

Binh Duong has over time mapped out many plans on environmental protection towards building of a “green Binh Duong”. Accordingly, province-based units and enterprises have taken measures for green and clean production.

Nguyen Van Thanh Huy, head of Becamex IDC’s Department of Economics and Technology said that green and clean environment has always been seen as one of the company’s important elements in the process of building industrial and residential parks. So far, 18 out of 22 industrial parks invested by Becamex IDC have so far had concentrated waste water treatment systems with total capacity of more than 67,000 cu.m per day.

Along with economic benefits, clean production has brought environmental benefits. Realizing the benefits and values of the “Green Economy” model, province-based enterprises have attached special importance to equipping the state-of-the-art machines to save fuels and reduce pollution.

Since being established, Petrolimex has put its waste water treatment plant into operation and made many other efforts for clean and green production. Upon these, Petrolimex has always created a healthy and open working environment for staff.

Or Procter & Gamble Vietnam Co.Ltd. (P&G) has always pledged and realized the sustainable development program by environmental protection measures, including reducing the use of energy, water…P&G has constantly improved and developed environmentally friendly products while installing the state-of-the-art machines, building a separate waste water treatment system, organizing environmental protection activities among staff…

Significant activities for a green environment

The “Green Binh Duong” festive day was one of the most highlight events towards developing “Green economy” in general and building of “Green Binh Duong” in particular. The festive day became more significant with many thoughts and actions for the environment.

Over the past time, Binh Duong’s youths also launched a campaign of “1,000 signatures-joining hands to act for the environment”, teamed up with provincial Department of Environment and Natural Resources to organize the “Exchanging waste for gifts” program; responded to the “Green Sunday, “Voluntary Saturday” campaigns with such substantial activities as eradicating illegal advertising boards, cleaning up streets…

 Provincial Farmers’ Society also called on members to take part in environmental protection activities and set up 73 farmers’ clubs. These clubs contributed to promoting hi-tech-based agricultural production while raising the ratio of households with hygienic toilets to 82%, the ratio of breeding facilities with waste water treatment systems to 52%...
