There is more than 1 month left until the 2024 Lunar New Year. Giving "Tet of Kindness" gifts to people having difficult circumstances in Chanh Phu Hoa ward, Ben Cat town.

At present, Red Cross Associations at all levels in the province are striving to call for and mobilize the joint efforts to carry out the "Tet of Kindness" movement for Tet 2024 with the highest results, bringing joy to people who still have many difficulties in life. In Chanh Phu Hoa ward, Ben Cat town, recently, Provincial Red Cross coordinated with the Red Cross of Ben Cat Town to organize a "Zero-Dong Market" to support 100 elderly people and people having difficult circumstances. Lunar New Year has not yet arrived, but joy has come early to everyone. Therefore, coming to this close, warm sharing market, everyone was delighted at receiving a support gift worth up to 2.5 million VND. On this occasion, Red Cross of Ben Cat Town also donated supports under the campaign "Each organization, each individual associated with a humanitarian address" in the fourth quarter of 2023 to 23 humanitarian addresses in the ward, each address received 2 million VND.

With the support and care of Provincial Red Cross Association, poor households, near-poor households, households of people infected with Agent Orange, people with disabilities, poor patients, and other disadvantaged groups all have conditions to celebrate Tet warmly. Red Cross Associations at district and commune levels have also soon implemented the "Tet of Kindness" movement for Tet 2024 to mobilize resources and bring Tet to everyone.

Although Tet has not yet arrived, in recent days, many people in Tan Uyen City have received early Tet gifts donated by all-level Red Cross. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Chairwoman of Red Cross Association of Tan Uyen City, said that this year, Red Cross Association levels in the city are striving to mobilize and give 4,000 "Tet of Kindness" gifts to the beneficiaries. To achieve the provincially assigned targets, the city Red Cross assigned targets to grassroots Red Crosses to join the campaign and connect the local community to this meaningful activity. Recently, the City Red Cross Association launched the "Tet of Kindness" movement for Tet Giap Thin 2024. As a result, the association has received the attention and support of many organizations, charity clubs, volunteer branches and benefactors with the number of registered gifts of about 650 gifts.

In addition, the City Red Cross also appealed to companies for more than 100 gifts and is mobilizing about 250 more gifts to coordinate with the Provincial Association to give gifts to disadvantaged people and poor workers on the Lunar New Year. In communes and wards in the city, some localities have also mobilized and given the first practical "Tet of Kindness" gifts to needy people, bringing joy to everyone as Tet is coming. Up to this moment, Red Cross levels in Tan Uyen City have presented 633 "Tet of Kindness" gifts to supported people.

In addition to actively mobilizing resources to take care of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the area, Di An City Red Cross also connects businesses and generous individuals to bring a happy spring to many unlucky ones outside the local area. One of the practical and meaningful activities that the association recently carried out was to connect with generous individuals to give gifts to poor patients being treated at Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital. Le Phu Tam, Chairman of Di An City Red Cross, said that at the end of December, the association coordinated with philanthropists to organize two rounds, giving 250 gifts to patients being treated at pediatrics department, psychiatric department and dialysis nephrology department of Provincial General Hospital.

In Dau Tieng district, Ngo Thi Xuyen, President of the district Red Cross, said that in the past few days, the association has also received many goods from organizations and benefactors inside and outside the locality sent to support disadvantaged people on the upcoming Tet holiday. From this support source, the district Red Cross Association organized 2 "zero-Dong market" sessions, gave 500 "Tet of Kindness" gifts for disadvantaged people in the district with a total cost of more than 400 million VND. She hopes that from now until before the Lunar New Year, the association will achieve the provincial target of 3,500 gifts donated for the poor, people having difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people, each gift has a minimum value of 500,000 VND or more.

Warm spring gifts have been sent by Red Cross levels in the province to many disadvantaged and vulnerable situations in the province. Each gift given to the recipient is the joint contribution of the society with lots of love and encouragement for people who have many difficulties in life.

According to the plan, during the Lunar New Year 2024, Red Cross levels in the province will mobilize and give at least 32,600 gifts to beneficiaries. From now until the Lunar New Year, many humanitarian programs and activities will be carried out.
