In order for the workers' spring to not be without the joy of reunion, the Bac Tan Uyen district Youth Union has developed a plan to organize the program of "Tet rice tray on Tet holiday" to serve them on the occasion of the Lunar New Year in 2022. The major content of the program is a cooking contest and gifts given to poor people who cannot return to their hometown to celebrate Tet; thereby, creating a healthy and useful playground to improve the cultural and spiritual life in a joyful and exciting atmosphere and meet the entertainment needs of workers after a busy year with many worries.

Ms. Nguyen Thai Nhan, a immigrant worker at Tan Binh town, said: “During the time of social distancing due to the spread of the disease, workers hope to have opportunities at the end of the year to have new opportunities for the joy of Tet. Even though it is a small meeting, being able to talk and encourage each other gives immigrant workers a feeling of more confidence when entering the New Year.

Spring of caring

Over the past time, the Standing Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district Youth Union has actively mobilized and organized Tet for workers living away from home with difficult circumstances. Mr. Do Ngoc Loi, Secretary of the district union, said: “Due to the epidemic situation, the district union organized activities with an appropriate scale for COVID-19 prevention and control, but it still ensures practical efficiency for employees away from home and in difficult. In particular, it continues to promote the spirit of mutual affection, mutual love and further spread the gesture of helping so that everyone can guide through the difficulties of the COVID-19 epidemic.

By kindness and sharing, the Standing Committee of the district Youth Union will make efforts to carry out the traditional activities of the unit. It is the program of "Spring of love" that always has many images of traditional Tet so that workers far from home are still happy when they could not return home to reunite. According to the Standing Committee of the district Youth Union, the plan to organize "Spring of love" to serve the Tet holiday for union members and individuals has been selected at a specific location at the Culture and Sports Center of Tan Thanh town. The program is organized by the district Youth Union with cultural activities, a contest to decorate apricot trees and peach branches, and to gift giving to young people with difficult circumstances and those who cannot return to their hometown to celebrate Tet.

More or less, the spring gifts are indispensable for Tet of happiness within each person. Thus, the district union organizes free trips home as a good act to overcome COVID-19 impacts. The trips will be full of Tet gifts to hostels of workers having setbacks. Those are gifts of necessities to their hands with New Year message of health and fortune in life. The action has not only enhanced the socialization of material life caring but also spiritual life of the immigrant workers as the promotion of youth volunteering for the homeland of Bac Tan Uyen district to develop.

On the days near Tet when workers get on the buses to go home to celebrate Tet with their families, the Standing Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district Youth Union will also organize the program of "Farewell to the hometown for Tet" on January 28 and 29 at Binh My commune and Tan Binh town. During the farewell ceremony, the district union will also give Tet gifts to individuals with difficult circumstances for returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet and send New Year wishes to their families.

It can be said that the caring activities for working people in hardship during Tet show the humane actions to gather and enhance the unity with localities and immigrant workers.
