As a childhood passion inspired by folk songs and sweet lullaby, they become engaged to the singing whenever they want to. Mr. Phuc and Ms. Thao are singing the Tai Tu song named “Giay phut ngam ngui” (the emotional moment) And that is how the movement of setting up groups and clubs of Tai Tu music is flourished.About 20 members of Hiep Thanh Ward Club of Tai Tu music in Thu Dau Mot City expressed their eagerness and enthusiasm at the establishment date.From now on, they are eligible as a club to attend any contests or shows.“Maybe we shall go to the six provinces of Mekong delta to sing for in Southern Region, the rich melody and lyrics of Tai Tu music have always been fascinating,” said Mr. Tran Thien Phuc, one of the 3 founders of Hiep Thanh Ward Club.“I personally am a freelance driver. I am free with my job and occasionally I attend the club to sing a few songs in the healthy entertaining life,” he added.Despite the approval of establishment in August, the club has been in existence for over a year with group singing across the wards and communes of Hiep An, Tan An, and Phu Tho.As an amateur club, they won first prize at Tai Tu music festival in 2012 under the theme of traffic safety. “Our passion met and all were voluntarily made. Every month each member shall contribute VND 50,000,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Thao, Deputy Director of the Hiep Thanh Ward Tai Tu music club.The funding is not fix, however, to pay for their operations including music instruction and contest attending.As reported by Thang Long (an artist), Binh Duong Province has approximately 500 groups and clubs of Tai Tu music inspired by member passion.Tai Tu music should be encouraged to treasure the intangible assets of the people.Reported by Quynh Nhu – Translated by Vi Bao
