Foreign information work implemented seriously and effectively

Early April 5, provincial Steering Committee for foreign information work held a conference to summarize its activities in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Commission, Head of provincial Steering Committee for foreign information work chaired the conference.

In 2023, the work of foreign information in the province was implemented seriously and effectively. Promoting the image of the country, people, potential and strengths of Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular to domestic and international friends on major holidays and political-cultural events of the country and province was strengthened. This helped international friends better understand about the land, people, history, culture and potential of the province, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development.

Last year, Binh Duong received 65 high-ranking international delegations to learn about the local socio-economic development situation and investment environment. The province also organized 4 working groups to promote Binh Duong's investment environment in a number of countries. This helped Binh Duong attract 112 FDI projects, bringing the total number of the province’s FDI projects to 4,196 projects from 65 countries and territories, with total capital of over US$ 40 billion, ranking second nationwide in attracting FDI capital...

Concluding the conference, Mrs. Hanh suggested that in 2024, provincial Steering Committee for foreign information work needs to further propagandize the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State’s policies and laws, guiding documents and implementation plans of the province on foreign information work; strengthen its leadership and orientation in this work; promote the role of each member in the Steering Committee; diversify propaganda forms, ensuring practicality and effectiveness; uphold the role of reporters, propagandists at all levels and the mass media of the province.

Mrs. Hanh also suggested the province's press agencies to further improve the quality of the contents of specialized pages and columns on all types of foreign information, opportunely report on foreign affairs events of the Party, State and the province; promptly have news and articles to fight and refute the distorted arguments of hostile forces that sabotage the Party's guidelines, viewpoints and the State's policies on foreign affairs and international integration, the settlement of issues related to Vietnam's sovereignty over sea and islands...
