To celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, Youth Union in Binh Duong province has increased the organization of activities to foster a love for the homeland, country, and national pride among young people.
Tan Dinh Commune Youth Union (Bac Tan Uyen District) organizes a political activity named "Remembering Uncle Ho - Our hearts are brighter".
“Drink water remember the source”
Following the principle of "When drinking water, remember its source," the Youth Union at all levels in the province organized trips to revolutionary addresses to learn about the history and remember the merits of previous generations. The recent trip of the Youth Union - Youth Federation of Dong Hoa Ward (Di An City) to Dat Do District (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) educated the youth union members on patriotism and gratitude for the sacrifices of heroic martyrs. At the memorial temple of the People's Armed Forces Hero Vo Thi Sau, the Youth Union members offered incense and learned about historical documents and information about the heroine. This activity helped the Youth Union members better understand the revolutionary process and the immortal patriotism of the heroine Vo Thi Sau. By taking part in this activity, the Youth Union members have more motivation and will to study, work and actively participate in youth volunteer activities.
In addition, the Youth Union in the province also organized many experiential activities for children and teenagers to learn about revolutionary history and integrate with activities for the community and social security. For example, Binh An Ward Youth Union (Di An City) organized the program "Proud of my hometown's history" for Youth Union members and students. In this activity, the young persons visited the city's martyr cemetery, visited the Independence Palace and Nha Rong Wharf (Ho Chi Minh City). On this occasion, the Ward Youth Union also gave gifts to excellent students and bicycles to children of young workers having difficult circumstances.
In addition, the Youth Union from the province to the grassroots level also diversifies the form of historical tradition education through communication on social networks; organized forums, seminars, youth festivals; festivals of groups promoting revolutionary songs; exhibitions, and competitions; organized the journey "I love Binh Duong"; visits to historical sites; gratitude activities; cleaned up and restored historical sites, cultural relics... Therefore, young people deeply feel and perceive the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and are grateful to the previous generations who sacrificed their lives for the peace and independence of the nation.
Political activities
Along with gratitude activities, the entire Youth Union in the province continues to focus on and strengthen the education of young union members on revolutionary ethics, enhancing the spirit of self-cultivation and moral training. The Provincial Youth Union’d Standing Committee launched a campaign for 100% of district-level Youth Unions and Youth Union branches to organize political activities "Remembering Uncle Ho - Our hearts are brighter" for union members and young people on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969-2024).
At the historical site of War Zone D (Bac Tan Uyen district), Tan Dinh Commune Youth Union coordinated with the local health sector’s youth to organize a political activity "Remembering Uncle Ho - Our hearts are brighter". The two Youth Unions respectfully offered flowers and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the great contributions of Uncle Ho and the heroic martyrs. During the program, the Youth Union members also listened to and discussed the contents of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.
During thematic activities, the grassroots unions also watched documentary films to review the nation's heroic traditions and history; told stories about the life and career of beloved Uncle Ho; disseminated topics of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the patriotism of youth generations in building and defending the Fatherland; presented Uncle Ho's photos to Youth Union members and affiliated unions; commended youth examples who followed Uncle Ho's teachings...
The extensive political activities throughout the Youth Union contributed to raising awareness and training Union officials, union members, and young people about the content, value, and great significance of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; at the same time, fostering the youth's belief and aspiration in studying, working, and building and defending the Fatherland.
