Four "green zone” communes, wards of Thuan An announced to return to new normal state

Thuan An city, on September 12, held a ceremony to announce its 4 communes and wards, namely Binh Nham, Hung Dinh, Vinh Phu and An Son, as the “green zones”, in attendance of Pham Van Chanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council.

Reportedly, the city has so far had 4 "green zone" communes and wards, namely Hung Dinh, Binh Nham, Vinh Phu and An Son; 3 “yellow zone” wards and 3 “red zone” wards. The city has also recorded 37,342 cases of F0. Thanks to solutions implemented in a synchronous way, the pandemic in the 4 "green zones" of the city are under control.

Currently, the city continues zoning each area to take appropriate management measures, firmly protecting the "green zone", narrowing the "red zone" and turning it to the "green zone" under new normal conditions. The city is striving to have 3 more wards, namely Lai Thieu, An Thanh and Binh Chuan, recognized as the "green zone" by September 15, then gradually narrowing the "red zone", expanding the "green zone" in Binh Hoa, Thuan Giao and An Phu wards to bring it back to the new normal state.

Speaking at the event, Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, Secretary of Thuan An city’s Party Committee, Head of the city’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control requested sectors and localities to strictly protect the "green zones"; further take samples for Covid-19 testing under to the 1-3-5 strategy to separate F0 cases from high-risk, bordering areas, preventing infections in the community, narrowing and removing the “red”, “orange, “yellow” spots, expanding the "green zones" in the whole city.

She also suggested local leaders to further raise awareness of Covid-19 prevention and control, not to be subjective or negligent and determined to maintain achievements in the fight against the pandemic; continue drastically directing the remaining "yellow zone" and "red zone" localities to implement solutions to stamp out the pandemic, quickly bringing the city back to the new normal state.
