Free distribution of one million books for poor children

Kim Dong Publishing House has launched a programme entitled "One million books for poor children" in Hanoi in order to supply free books for poor children across the country, fulfilling the desire of every child to read a story book.   The launching ceremony.

Under the programme, one million books will be donated to disadvantaged children at 2,000 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in rural, remote and mountainous areas. This programme will be conducted over a period of three years from 2013 to 2015.

The program aims to bring happiness to children and calls for communities to join hands in developing the reading culture among the younger generation, especially children in remote mountainous districts.

In the first phase of the program, 7,000 books will be distributed to children from 13 disadvantaged schools in four needy communes in Soc Son district./.
