Further improving people's knowledge, training human resources, fostering talents

Early November 18, provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022), with the theme of "Pride and aspiration" at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center.

The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, Former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Pernament Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; provincial leaders over periods; leaders of departments, agencies, sectors and localities; leaders of the education and training sector over periods, typical teachers in the province.

At the ceremony, delegates together reviewed the history and meaning of Vietnam Teachers’ Day and the local education sector’s 40-year journey of striving, overcoming difficulties, transforming and developing. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Minh respectfully acknowledged, warmly praised and deeply appreciated great contributions by teachers and educational administrators while congratulating great achievements done by the sector during the past years. He suggested that the province's education and training sector must continue well performing the goal of improving people's knowledge, training human resources, fostering talents to more actively contributing to the local development. In the coming time, the province’s education and training sector needs to consolidate, strengthen and develop human resources and educational facilities and equipment to further improve the quality of education; promote digital transformation, application of information technology, digital technology; continue building and perfecting a quality, equitable, and comprehensive education system and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all people.

Provincial leaders present the gratitude boards to leaders of provincial DoET over periods

At the ceremony, provincial People's Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 23 collectives and 46 individuals who made great contributions to the cause of education and training in the period of 1982-2022; gave the education sector a laudatory writing with the words of "Solidary, exemplary, disciplined, creative and effective". Provincial DoET presented a gratitude board to leaders of the department over periods. On this occasion, provincial Department of Education and Training in collaboration with provincial Study Promotion Association announced that provincial Study and Talent Promotion Fund officially went into operation for the purpose of supporting and encouraging the development of education, study and talent promotion in the province. Accordingly, provincial Party Committee supported provincial Study Promotion Fund with VND 10 billion. Units and businesses also supported VND2.5 billion for the fund. In addition, provincial Study and Talent Promotion Fund honored and rewarded 11 typical cadres and students with outstanding achievements in study, labor and work in various fields.
