Further protecting employees’ legitimate rights and interests
Early July 19, the Executive Committee of the 9th provincial Labor Union held its 10th open session and reviewed activities of the organization in the first half of 2016. Attending the event were Nguyen Thanh Liem, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.
Trade Unions at all levels of the province over the past six months set up 89 trade union locals and admitted 20,010 trade unionists, bringing the total number of trade union locals and trade unionists so far to 2,951 and more than 623,000, respectively. They also organized patriotic emulation movements among employees, activities during the 2016 national Workers’ Month and provincial Workers’ Week; coordinated with relevant units to implement democratic regulations at the grassroots level; were proactive to team up with functional agencies to protect employees’ legitimate rights and interests; well realized a task of propagandizing and mobilizing employees to take part in the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure.
Concluding the conference, Mr.Liem suggested trade unions at all levels of the province to further speed up dissemination of the Party’s guidelines, the State’s laws and policies; further improve their activities in both content and form; boost the organization of dialogues between employers and employees…
