Thu Dau Mot city’s Labor Union has recently held a conference to review the 2024 laborers’ movements and Trade Union activities while outlining plans and objectives for 2025.
In 2024, Thu Dau Mot city’s Labor Union successfully implemented its planned activities and movements. Specifically, the city’s Labor Union established 30 trade union locals, achieving 150% of the target and recruited 2,096 new trade unionists, reaching 139.7% of the goal. Additionally, it established, launched 3 informal unions and recruited five new Party members being workers in non-state enterprises. Notably, during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, the city’s Labor Union gave a proposal on supporting 1,500 workers with a total amount of VND 1.5 billion. Trade Unions at all levels of the city also allocated 2,000 gifts from their financial resources, totaling VND 1 billion and mobilized social contributions to provide gifts worth VND15 billion...
Thu Dau Mot city’s Labor Union outlined several key tasks for 2025, including further prioritizing the well-being of workers, especially during holidays and Tet; intensifying efforts to disseminate labor laws; conducting inspections and monitoring the implementation of labor laws and social insurance to ensure that workers’ legitimate rights and interests are protected.
On this occasion, three individuals were awarded the “For the cause of Trade Union building” mementoes by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Additionally, Thu Dau Mot city’s Trade Union commended 69 collectives and 308 individuals for their outstanding achievements in 2024.
