Further "taking communes and wards as fortresses" in Covid-19 fight

At a meeting held yesterday morning, after hearing a report from provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control together with the opinions of participating delegates, provincial Party Standing Committee concluded with specific contents: further defining "taking communes and wards as fortresses" on the front of Covid-19 prevention and control; requesting all-level Party committees, local authorities, agencies and units to continue strictly implementing social distancing, ensuring social welfare, security and order through propaganda to each quarter, hamlet and quarantine area so that all people know and implement the above contents.

Provincial Party Standing Committee basically agreed with the draft plan on coordination to respond to the pandemic when the number of Covid-19 infections amounts to 150,000 cases, with attention on ensuring production, business, goods circulation and study in line with the developments of the pandemic. If the local pandemic situation has good changes until September 15, 2021, the implementation of the plan will be organized.

As for the plan to handle complicated security and order situations, provincial Party Standing Committee basically agreed with the draft plan of provincial Police Agency while paying attention to adding some situations: massively returning to hometowns from workers; implementing social welfare packages, food and foodstuff supply; handling activities of spreading false information on Covid-19 prevention and control…

Regarding testing, localities must reorganize mobile medical stations for more effective monitoring and treatment. For Covid-19 vaccines, provincial Party Standing Committee also agreed to receive 1 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine allocated by the Government.  Provincial People's Committee was assigned to urgently report to the Government and the Ministry of Health for the province to receive the vaccines soon. In terms of social welfare, provincial People's Committee was assigned to direct provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Industry and Trade, and hotline 1022 to correct shortcomings for more effective implementation.

Provincial Party Standing Committee also said ok with advancing expenses from salary reform sources to promptly implement social welfare policies issued by the locality and the local urgent needs in Covid-19 prevention and control.
