“Gathering in Tet holiday” festival 2018: Warm sentimental attachment

On the afternoon of February 3, provincial Labor Union held the “Tet sum vay” (Gathering in Tet holiday) program 2018. In the coming time, the province will concentrate on improving policies, continue mobilizing resources to build additional social housing areas in industrial parks and compounds for workers; strengthen investment into works on healthcare and education for them. The province will also create the best conditions for trade union locals to construct cultural institutions at workers’ demand.

On this occasion, Mr.Tu called for sectors, agencies and authorities at all levels to further create the best conditions for all workers to enjoy a warm and happy Tet; pay more attention to alien poor workers, those hit by labor accidents…

In the framework of the program, provincial Labor Union presented 30 gifts and 30 bus tickets to needy workers. Especially, provincial Labor Union mobilized enterprises to offer 3 gifts worth VND5million each to 3 workers with extremely difficult circumstances.

Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have also organized a variety of forms bringing more benefits to trade unionists and laborers so that they can enjoy a warmer spring. It is known that on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2018, the province has extracted more than VND4.5billion from the local State budget to support and offer 9,100 gifts worth VND500,000 each to workers with extremely difficult circumstances.

According to a report by provincial Labor Union, workers will enjoy the average Tet bonus level of around VND5.5million, higher than that of 2017. It is expected that around 400,000 Tet gifts will be offered to workers on this occasion. Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have mobilized all resources to care for workers by such practical activities as visiting, presenting gifts to needy laborers…; organizing the “Sentimental bus” program 2018 for nearly 4,000 alien workers…
