Get-together marks 44 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day

Early April 26, provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee grandly held a get-together to mark the 44th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2019), the 133rd anniversary of May Day (May 1), the 129th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday (May 19, 1890-May 5, 2019).

Provincial leaders award the first, second and third-class Labor Medals of the State President to comrades with contributions to the local construction and development

The event was attended by Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Vo Van Minh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission of Mass Mobilization, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; heroic Vietnamese mothers and former leaders of Song Be-Binh Duong over periods.

At the event, Mr.Nam delivered a speech reviewing the 44-year history of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day. He said that after 44 years of national liberation, 22 years of local construction and development, Binh Duong has risen up vigorously and become one of the Southern key economic zone’s localities with high industrialization and modernization speed, creating exploits in terms of socio-economic development and improving the spiritual and material lives of the local people. In the first years of 2019, the province further reached socio-economic growth; strengthened foreign affairs, bringing practical results in investment attraction, socio-ecomomic development and smart city building…

On this occasion, provincial Party Standing Committee announced a decision awarding the Party insignias to 343 Party members. At the ceremony, provincial leaders awarded the 45, 50 and 60-year Party membership insignias to Party members. Mr.Nam and Mr.Liem presented the first-class Labor Medals of the State President to Pham Van Canh, former Chairman of provincial People’s Council and Nguyen Thanh Liem, former Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; awarded the second-class Labor Medals of the State President to comrades: Nguyen Thi Nhung, former Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission of Mass Mobilization; Do Khac Diep, former Head of provincial Party Committee Office; Huynh Ngoc Dang, former Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Do Van Trung, former Director of Binh Duong Television and Radio Station; Tran Quoc Binh, former Secretary of Di An town’s Party Committee; Phan Minh Hung, former Chairman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee; simultaneously awarded the third-class Labor Medals of the State President to comrades: Huynh Thanh Long, former Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Tu Xuan Son, former Vice-Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

*Prior to that, provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony to visit provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-April 30, 2019).

Attending the ceremony were provincial leaders together with revolutionary veterans over periods; leaders of sectors, departments and mass organizations, Thuan An town, TDM city, armed forces, Youth Union members, pupils, retired officials, families of war invalids and martyrs in the province.

In a solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, leaders of provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Fatherland Front Committee together with visiting delegations laid wreaths and burn incense to pay homage to late President Ho Chi Minh and commemorate martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence, freedom and peace.
