Get-together to celebrate Dau Tieng Liberation Day’s 49th anniversary held

*Upgrading DT.749A road through Long Hoa commune

Early March 13, Dau Tieng district’s Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee held a get-together to celebrate the 49th anniversary of Dau Tieng Liberation Day (March 13, 1975 - March 13, 2024).

The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President; Truong Hoa Binh, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education and leaders of a number of departments and sectors of the province; representatives of heroic Vietnamese mothers, revolutionary veterans and leaders of Dau Tieng district over periods.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious historical traditions of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Dau Tieng district in the struggle for national liberation, building and developing the homeland. Dau Tieng was the first district of Thu Dau Mot province (now Binh Duong) to be completely liberated on March 13, 1975. The Dau Tieng victory was of special meaning, encouraging the spirit of revolutionary struggle, creating a premise for the next victories of the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign...

Inheriting and promoting the heroic and indomitable tradition in the struggle to liberate the homeland, today generations of officers, soldiers and people in the district have united and joined forces to overcome all difficulties, being determined to build a more and more properous locality. Especially, since the re-establishment of the district, under the direct leadership and direction of provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, the Party Committee, government and people in the district have constantly promoted internal resources and proactively exploited potential and advantages, gradually bringing the district's economy to continuous development. The local people's lives have been improved constantly with national defense and security maintained, Party building achieving many positive results…

*Early March 13, the People's Committee of Dau Tieng district held a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the project to upgrade and expand DT.749A road at the session passing through the center of Long Hoa commune. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments and sectors of the province.

DT.749A road with the session passing through the center of Long Hoa commune is an important road of the province, connecting communes in Dau Tieng district with other districts in the province in the East - West direction. Dau Tieng district’s Construction Investment Project Management Board is as the investor's representative of the project, with more than 4.7km long, 19m wide and 4 lanes, complete and synchronous construction of all items on drainage, lighting, verdure. The route has total investment of more than VND 740 billion from State budget.

As planned, the project to upgrade and expand DT.749A road through the center of Long Hoa commune will be constructed within 420 days.
