Get-together to celebrate the VPA’s 78th founding anniversary held

Early December 22, Tan Uyen town held a get-together to celebrate the 78th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) (December 22, 1944-December 22, 2022); the 33rd All People's Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2022).

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the tradition of the founding day of the VPA and the town's armed forces. After 78 years of building, fighting and growing up, the VPA achieved many resounding victories, defeating the French colonialists, the American imperialists and defending the Socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. Many outstanding feats of the VPA went in history as the symbols of Vietnamese revolutionary heroism. Upholding the heroic tradition, over the past years, the town's armed forces excelled at advising the Party committee and government on building the all-people national defense, the all-people national defense posture associated with the people's security posture, thereby building a stronger and stronger defensive area.

In 2022, the town’s work of propaganda, education, ideological-oriented information, building up a solid political courage for officers and soldiers was maintained and implemented well. The town also reached a target on training and education of national defense and security knowledge for the targeted people. During the year, there were 648 typical groups and  individuals rewarded by all-level authorities...These results contributed to building a strong and comprehensive unit being worthy of the trust and love of the town’s Party, government and people.

In the coming time, cadres and soldiers of the town's armed forces will continue being determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, building up the people's armed forces, the national defense that will become stronger and stronger with the all-people's defense posture associated with the people's security posture getting more and more solid, successfully completing the task of defending the Fatherland and homeland.
