Get-together to celebrate Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day’s 98th anniversary held

Early June 20, provincial Journalists Association held a get-together to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023) and awarded the 8^th  Nguyen Van Tiet Press Awards 2023.

The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Commission; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

At the get-together, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese revolutionary press during the past 98 years. Addressing the get-together, Mr. Ha praised and acknowledged contributions by press agencies while saying that over the past time, press agencies closely followed the guidelines of the Party, vividly reflecting all aspects of politics, economy and social life; actively propagandized good values, new factors, effective ways, good people and good deeds; brought the friendly, peaceful image of the country and  people of Vietnam to international friends.

Mr. Ha wanted that press agencies and journalists in the province will further uphold the fine tradition of revolutionary journalism and better do propaganda work; constantly fight against false and hostile views, especially false information on social networks, internet while opportunely detecting and promoting advanced role models, good people, good deeds, creating motivation to contribute to building up a better society. Journalists need to maintain their political stance, constantly study to improve their professional qualifications; implement 10 regulations on professional ethics of journalists, rules for using social networks; pay attention to investing in improving the quality of the provincial and central press awards... He asserted the companionship of the press agencies together with the Party Committee, government and people of the province in realizing the common goal, contributing to building up a more and more civilized and modern Binh Duong with sustainable development.

At the get-together, provincial Journalists Association awarded the memento "For the cause of Vietnamese journalism" to Nguyen Minh Ngoc Tu, working for  Binh Duong Newspaper. Provincial Journalists Association also awarded the 8^th Nguyen Van Tiet Press Awards 2023 to 39 works in the  types of radio, television, print, electronic media and photography, with 4 A prizes, 7 B prizes, 9 C prizes and 19 consolation prizes.
