Get-together to mark TDM city’s Party Committee 75th founding anniversary held

Early August 30, Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city held a get-together to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2023), National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 9, 2023) and the 75^th founding anniversary of the city’s Party Committee (August 1948 - August 2023).

Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Vice- Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee presented a laudatory writing as congratulation to TDM city’s Party Committee

The event was attended by former Politburo member, former State President Nguyen Minh Triet; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; members of provincial Party Standing Committee.

TDM city’s Party Committee was established in August 1948, with 5 Party cells and over 100 Party members. After being established, the Party Committee led the government and people of TDM to heroically experience 2 resistance wars against the French colonialism and American imperialism, forging a tradition of solidarity, heroism, and indomitability in the revolutionary struggle, diligence, creativity in production labor together with the will of self-reliance, a strong desire to rise up, gradually bringing the city to dynamic development in the southern key economic region.

Addressing the get-together, Mr. Thao noted that TDM city’s Party Standing Committee needs to summarize experience, especially contributive ideas by predecessors, experienced experts and scientists through 75 years of construction and development. The city needs to complete socio-economic development plans for the period of 2021-2030 and a vision to 2050; further promote services in association with economic development to improve people's lives...

For great results done over the past 75 years, TDM city’s Party Committee was awarded the laudatory writing of "Following the tradition - Solidarity, democracy - Sustainable development" from provincial Party Committee. Provincial People's Committee also presented the city's cadres and people with the laudatory writing of "Courage - Solidarity - Flexibility - Creativity - Gratitude".

On this occasion, the Government presented emulation banners to cadres and people of TDM city’s Phu Loi ward for their outstanding achievements in the 2022 emulation movement. The Prime Minister awarded the certificates of merit to 2 groups and 4 individuals with many achievements in Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.
