Get-together to mark VWU’s 94th anniversary held

Early October 11, provincial Women’s Union held a get-together to celebrate the 94^th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), the 14th anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Day and honor outstanding women’s union leaders in 2024 at Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co., Ltd. The event was attended by Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nhan praised and spoke highly of contributions by provincial Women's Unions at all levels to the local socio-economic development. They have innovated their operational contents and methods, uniting and mobilizing women from all strata to actively participate in emulation movements and practical activities that focus on grassroots efforts and care for trade union officials and members. He expressed hope that in the future, provincial Women’s Union will further find solutions to mobilize resources and support women in accessing capital for homebased business development, creating jobs and increasing incomes, with particular attention given to supporting disadvantaged women.

At the event, provincial Women’s Union presented gifts to leaders of the district and city-level Women’s Unions who have taken on new positions and honored 58 outstanding women’s union leaders from 9 districts and cities across the province in 2024. On this occasion, provincial Women’s Union also launched a writing contest titled “Binh Duong women loyal to the Party” towards the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025).
