Gifts donated to the poor in Ben Tre

Early May 4, provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with Buddhist followers of Chau Thoi mountain pagoda in Di An town held a delegation to visit and present gifts to those hit by drought and salt intrusion in Thanh Phu district’s An Dien commune in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre (photo).

Particularly, the delegation extended best regards to the local needy people, encouraged them to surmount difficulties while giving them 200 gifts worth VND350,000 each, including rice, instant noodle, cooking oil, soya sauce, seasoning powder and sugar.
It is known that the above gifts were funded by Buddhist followers from Chau Thoi mountain pagoda.
