Giving gifts to the poor and blood donors
Morning May 24th, to celebrate Buddha’s birthday (Vesak) 2015, provincial Red Cross encouraged Bo De Dao Trang pagoda to offer 150 gifts to the poor and blood donors in Thuan An town. Each gift included rice, noodles, soy sauce, cooking oil, sugar... worth VND300,000/portion. Total cost of gifts was VND45 million.
On the same day, provincial Red Cross in collaboration with Charity Board of provincial Buddhist Association to organize a vegetarian feast to relieve the earthquake in Nepal. Each visitor of the feast contributed VND100,000. The total amount after deducting expenses will be sent to Nepalese people in order to help them to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives after the earthquake.
