From emulation movements

Over the past time, Thu Dau Mot city-based emulation movements took place lively. Aside these movements, big mobilizations such as “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”, “All people unite to build cultural life in residential areas” and movements including “Building civilized lifestyle”, “Urban order and hygiene”, “Traffic safety” have received great response from local people.

These movements and mobilizations’ efficiency have brought positive changes for urban image as well as raised local residents’ awareness on keeping environmental hygiene and obeying the Law on Road Traffic and many more.

Huynh Thi Thuy Duong, head of Thu Dau Mot city Mass Mobilization Committee said that specifying importance of the work on public mobilization in implementing the patriotic emulation movements, Thu Dau Mot city over the past time launched the emulation movement of “Clever mass mobilization” luring 106 collectives and 133 individuals that registered to implement more than 20 models in conformity with real situation of localities and units. Through implementing these movements, many good and effective deeds have emerged. Notably, the work on mobilizing people to implement urban civilized lifestyle and environmental hygiene in Phu Cuong ward has brought high efficiency.

Nguyen Van Sang, vice standing secretary of Phu Cuong ward party committee said that in the past Phu Cuong ward appeared situation of trading on pavements, triggering disorder and environmental pollution. Therefore, the ward party committee steered political and social organizations and mass bodies to spur dissemination to local people.

Tran Viet Phu, secretary of quarter 4 party committee in the same ward is one of individuals excelling mass mobilization work. When there are disputes in this quarter, he actively arranges and holds mediations to keep solidarity for local people. As a result, he has solved many disputes for local residents, creating hi-unity in this quarter. Especially, he has mobilized local residents to dedicate land, money and so on to upgrade rural traffic roads and build quarter office.

Mass mobilization work renovated

Mrs. Duong added that one of advantages of the mass mobilization work in Thu Dau Mot city lies in support and instruction of Thu Dau Mot city party committee. The instruction’s goal is to create a positive change on cadres and public servants and party members’ awareness on mass mobilization work and simultaneously to build cadres and public employees’ working manner bounding respect and responsibility to people.

Of these, the most concerned requirement is to spur the Party’s leadership, to effectively solve issues relating to people’s life, boost up implementation of grassroot democratic regulations and many more.

According to Mrs. Duong, 5 groups of measures set for the work on mass mobilization include:

-To focus on lead and build the Party into a strong organization in both politics and thought.

-To effectively solve legitimate issues of people and spur relationship between people and the Party committee and authority in line with the mechanism of the Party is the leader, the state is the manager and people are the masters.

-To improve cadres, party members and people’s awareness on role and position of the work on mass mobilization in the new period.

-To accelerate the patriotic emulation movements, maintain national defense and security, raise people’s material and spiritual life.

-To renovate and improve the operational quality, reinforce organization and operation of the city party committee’s Mass Mobilization Board, mass bodies, political and social organizations in a bid to meet requirements and tasks of the work on mass mobilization in the new period.

With the mentioned 5 groups of measures, Thu Dau Mot city leaders believe that in the coming time the work on mass mobilization will be spurred and renovated, meeting people’s legitimate demand and reaching goals of developing a modern and civilized city.
