Green transformation and digital transformation are becoming inevitable global trends towards sustainable development. Binh Duong province-based enterprises cannot stand outside of this "game”.
Recognizing that the development of enterprises reflects the health of the economy, Binh Duong has recently accelerated digital and green transformation across its governmental system, from provincial to grassroots levels while increasing encouragement and support for enterprises to engage in these efforts. Through provincial planning for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 (briefly called provincial planning) and support policies, Binh Duong is urging enterprises outside industrial parks and compounds in the southern region of the province to relocate to the northern industrial parks. The province has given priority to attracting high-tech industries that are less labor-intensive and have advanced automation and smart technologies.
According to provincial leaders, the implementation of a green development strategy aims at expanding the ecological threshold, achieve carbon neutrality and contribute to limiting global temperature increases. Based on scientific research, the province is setting guidelines, criteria and standards for a green growth economy in this new era, applying them across various fields, policies and territorial levels. Next, the province needs to institutionalize planning, decisions, regulations and widely disseminate them to the local management apparatus, organizations, businesses and people to know and follow them while voluntarily contributing new ideas and applying them into practice.
According to experts, the green development strategy must be concretized into action plans for each sector and field, not only integrated into provincial planning, but also adopted as the main spirit in future policies at all- level authorities and sectors. Moreover, the green strategy must be continually updated to adapt to the dynamic and diverse realities of each locality and field.
Moving towards green, environmentally-friendly development is not easy, with many barriers that need to be overcome. However, this is no longer a choice, but a necessity for enterprises across the country, including Binh Duong, in the new context. The decision to pursue digital and green transformation serves as a driving force for economic growth aims at fast and sustainable development.
