Guidance for implementation of some contents under program on conservation and sustainable promotion of the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage for 2021-2030 period

Provincial People's Committee has just sent a document to provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST) on the implementation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Official Letter No. 3380/BVHTTDLDSVH dated September 8, 2022 on guiding the implementation of a number of contents under the program on conservation and sustainable promotion of the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage for the 2021-2030 period and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Digitization Program for  the 2021-2030 period. Accordingly, provincial People's Committee has assigned provincial DoCST the task of coordinating with relevant units to implement the above contents in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

In 2021, the Prime Minister issued the Decision No. 1230/QD-TTg approving the program on conservation and sustainable promotion of the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage for the period 2021-2030 and the Decision No. 2026/QDTTg approving the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Digitization Program for the period of 2021-2030. After reviewing the tasks assigned in the above two decisions, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued documents guiding the People's Committees of the centrally-run cities to implement a number of contents under the program on conservation and sustainable promotion of the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Digitization Program for the period of 2021-2030.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proposed the People's Committees of centrally-run cities with tasks and projects under the objectives of the program to direct relevant agencies to set up detailed plans, annually State budget estimates and allocate State budget in accordance with management decentralization to implement the program; direct local agencies and units with the function of cultural heritage management to set up and implement plans to digitize and update data...
