Hai Duong province: Nearly VND20 billion for beneficiaries’ families

On the occasion of the day for martyrs and wounded soldiers (July 27th), the northern province of Hai Duong has decided to earmark VND19.8 billion to give presents to beneficiaries’ and revolutionary contributors’ families, and some foundations caring for wounded soldiers. Minister of National Defence Phung Quang Thanh gives presents to a wounded soldier The province will give presents worth VND300,000 each to 65,688 martyrs, wounded soldiers, revolutionary contributors and their families, and those who participated in the war of resistance and their children who are infected with Agent Orange. In addition, the province will give presents worth VND1.2 million each to 36 outstanding beneficiaries’ families in the province, presents worth VND5 million to three nursing foundations for wounded soldiers. For the event, the province is increasing dissemination of the heroic traditions of the nation so that people respect the ancestors’ sacrifice for national independence and freedom. The province is also asking authorised agencies to repair and build martyrs’ cemeteries, memorials and Vietnamese heroic mothers’ graves; and continue to find revolutionary contributors to give assistance to them.
