Handing over Red Cross houses to disadvantaged people

On January 19, provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with its branch in Bau Bang district to organize a delegation to visit and offer Tet gifts to 38 Agent Orange (AO) victims in the district.

The event was attended by Bui Thi Hoa, Chairwoman of of the Vietnam Red Cross Society; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society.

The delegation gave each AO victim a gift worth VND1.3million, including VND1million in cash. On this occasion, provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the locality to organize a ceremony handing over a Red Cross house to the family of Nguyen Van Sang in Hung Hoa commune. It is known that the house has a total construction cost of VND 100 million, including VND70million from provincial Red Cross Society and VND30million from Tan Binh Industrial Park.

On the same day, provincial Red Cross Society and the district also handed over a Red Cross house to the family of Nguyen Anh Tuan in Tru Van Tho commune. It is known that the house has a total construction cost of VND 150 million, comprising of VND70million from provincial Red Cross Society and the remainder from the local donors.
