Hanoi to host 5th ASEAN Student Sports Games

The event is expected to attract the participation of 1,500 athletes and coaches from nine ASEAN countries, namely Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Laos. Vietnam has set to earn between 20 and 25 gold medals to rank third or fourth among the participating countries. The hosting of the games is expected to develop sports movements among Vietnamese students as well as promote the images of the country and its people and culture to regional friends.
