Future Shorts Autumn 2012 will take place in Hanoi on August 31, featuring the most exciting short films from around the world.

The event has previously been held in 55 countries, attracting more than 25,000 people.

Highlights of the festival in Hanoi include Grant Orchard’s BAFTA and Sundance Jury Award-winning short “The Morning Stroll”, the experimental documentary “We’ll Become Oil” about the Gulf of Mexico, and the stop-motion animated “Notes on Biology”, the winner of Best Short at SXSW.

Also in the series is “Street Vendor Cinema” from Brazil, about a filmmaker and his team who set up a stall that makes and sells short films on demand, bringing wild fantasies to life in the middle of a bustling marketplace.

The films will be screened at The Boombox Lounge, No 1 Nguyen Khac Can Street.
