By hardworking with only one tractor in hand, Mr. Nguyen Van Thoi (residing at Hamlet 5, Tan Lap Commune, Tan Uyen District) has built for himself a spacious residence. As an excellent farmer, he has joined up local activities.Thinking and doingMr. Thoi was born and grown up in Thanh Phuoc – a traditional onion farm, having made people believe that he should have follow the pathway of his ancestors; however, the desire of getting rich has prompted him to life-changing economic activities. Combined farming model offers Mr. Thoi with great earnings and spacious residing place In 1990, after collecting a humble sum of selling land-use right, he bought his first tractor to work as a deforesting workman in Tan Lap. For 7 years long, he dared not to take her wife and children with him for the obvious challenges and hardship.The then Hamlet 5 of Tan Lap Commune was still the land of woods and less residence without electricity; thus, the demand for such a tractor was relatively high, prompting Mr. Thoi to his work. Through time, thanks to his prestige, local people just hire him for deforestation from which, after 2 years, he earned money to buy use right of 1.5ha of land.He started up with rubber trees on the first 1.5ha of land which has brought him to a life of prosperity.And combined farming success“Many a little makes amickle” was on his mind and he started with combining farming forms. By now, he had 22ha of land for rubber tree, about 1,500 m2 for swine, and 1ha for fish.Annually, he could earn 4 billion after finalizing costs and expenses.By now, the combined farming model has helped him to earn cars, more tractors and spacious home for his family.“We should be working hard and stay with the land in our own working scheme. At first I am inexperienced; however, by staying close to planting and farming techniques, I am now can do almost every tricks,” he said Currently, he is showing off highly efficient model in inter-supportive combination ò the model. Mr. Thoi was entitled as an excellent farmer at provincial level at his 50s.Besides, he is offering jobs to 13 employees with monthly salary of VND 4 million each.Everyday, he works on his own from driving tractor to taking care of the rubber trees and his farmsteads. He leads a simple life and is ready for local movements and charity drives.
