Health sector focus on 19 key contents in 2018

Morning of January 24, provincial Health Department held a sum-up meeting on health works in 2017, deploying tasks in 2018. Attending the meeting were Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, the delegates focused on discussing 19 key tasks set by Department of Health in 2018. In particular, the implementation of the project "Building and developing grass-roots medical network in the new situation"; Maintaining "The health sector listen to people's opinions"; Strengthening the implementation of socialization policies at communes, wards and townships to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. In addition, the health sector steps up epidemic prevention activities, food safety, strengthening the communication network from province to district and commune level. At the same time, promotes scientific research and application of research results in medical work as well as the connection and application of information technology in medical examination and treatment and health insurance payment.

In 2017, the health sector achieved some good results. All branches inspected nearly 2,000 establishments in many fields, detected nearly 700 violations, imposed sanctions with a total amount of more than VND2,500 million, suspended the operation of 62 establishments. The number of patients coming for health care was 5,800,000, reaching 106.7% of the year plan. The number of health care services at the district and commune level accounted for 79.75% of total health care services. Sickbed capacity utilization in medical centers reached more than 80%.

Speaking at the meeting, Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, appreciated the results in 2017 of provincial health sector. He suggested that in 2018, the health sector should focus on implementing the plan to build and develop health facilities in the new situation; perform well communication works; control well disease situation; invest in and efficiently exploit material facilities; further promote socialization; step up the application of information technology; pay more attention to examination, inspection... From now until Lunar New Year 2018, the health sector should collaborate with relevant sectors to well prevent diseases, ensure food hygiene and safety as well as provide health care for people before, during and after Tet.
